Week 11

Nicks and Scratches

Our Sweet Spot — Weekly Activity

Most nicks are unintentional. But unintentional doesn’t mean unimpactful.

Instead of pretending they don’t happen, or turning them into accusations, what if we built a shared language for repair?

Let’s work together to notice the small moments—a tone, a sigh, a joke that lands wrong—that leave a tiny nick or scratch on our connection.

This helps you learn to name the nicks without creating new ones. Maybe this activity will even spark a shared code: a signal that helps you catch these moments before they build up and become something more painful.

Download the worksheet below. There are three versions of the activity.

Choose the one that best fits your relationship personality—reflective, playful, or somewhere in between.
